I had a glorious weekend, largely because of Mrs. Stephanie Waller! We went dress shopping at a lovely boutique. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves most of the morning, the dresses were all quite exquisite. I will be picking one of them in January when my masha comes to visit.
Sunday was another awesome day, and this time there were 3 Wallers involved!! The more the merrier, really. We had a delicious brunch of breakfast burritos, and some great convo too. Their house is all decorated for Christmas, complete with a tree!
I can't believe we leave for Arizona in 10 days. Those days will be filled with 7 days of work, cleaning, packing, going to the gym (is a MUST, hello eggnog on my thighs), engagement party, volunteer morning, hair appointment, church, more christmas shopping... woof.
Well I better go get to work.

Holiday Prep
But seriously, how do you prepare for the holidays?
I decorated my apartment, even if it is only for my own enjoyment. I have a tiny little artificial christmas tree, even though I have room for a full-sized one. I have garland and wreaths hung all around, and tonight when I was a metropolitan market I even saw mistletoe! For some reason I have an obsession with hanging it in every doorway, and I think it's because I have so many doorways. However the mistletoe was $6/tiny bundle... probably not the most economical decision, especially when one is saving for a luxurious honeymoon.
My skin saw the light of day today, (the first time since Sunday). It. was. GLORIOUS!! It was pouring rain, and apparently there was even thunder in Bremerton today! I didn't hear it so I almost don't believe it.
Bed time now... more later!

I think we have venue - By Brenna
I don't really need to add the "by" part to this blog, because I don't think Mitchell will ever post here. This is purely my artistic outlet, perhaps someday I will rub off on my fiance.
As you may have gathered from the title of this post, I think we have a venue for our upcoming wedding in July 2011. Crazy!! I finally finished adding Mitchell's side of the family to our invite/address list. He asked me today what I will do when I am finished with wedding planning. I told him I would start training to run a marathon. We shall see. It seems like my spare time is consume with planning/research. What did I do with my spare time before? Now there's a paradox.
I had something more exciting to share, but at this point I can't remember what it is, so sorry. It is now past my bedtime (how lame am I?)...
The ferry waits for no one... and neither does the bus. Such is life. Thanks goodness for my double dutch chocolate coffee. If you take no other advice from me: the godiva chocolate coffee does not pack as much of a 'wallop' as does the safeway brand double dutch chocolate coffee. If y9ou want to get moving in the morning, choose the latter. It works like you would not believe, and cures all grumpiness I guarantee.

This First One - by Brenna
I feel like there should be some type of theme for this blog. Like the 'Friends' episodes descriptions: "The one where Rachel blah blah blah blah" I never really got into that show. This is the first blog I've ever had. That's not actually true, but it's the first blog that I will actually keep up on.
Our friends Matt and Steph Waller gave us the idea to have a blog. They started one before they got married, and I suppose the purpose of it is to keep friends and family updated on what is going on in life. I thought it would be fun to follow their blog (because I'm creepy like that) and also to create one for Mitchell and myself, because now we're getting married (awesome, I know). Apparently I don't have enough else keeping me busy...
This morning the Wallers took our engagement photos. We had a blast hanging out feeling like celebrities with the pa-pa-pa-paparazzi following us everywhere. Steph took hundreds of photos, and Matt was an excellent assistant. I'm certain the pics will be wonderful, fun, romantic, beautiful, etc., and I can't wait to see them! Perhaps I will post some of them here... but not before we send out save-the-dates. I don't want to ruin the surprise. This weekend we have a little time to relax and just hang out, and then tomorrow Amy Marco and I are doing a little wedding dress shopping! I have found that getting ready for a wedding is a lot of work, but it will be so worth it.
That's all for now...
